Ingredients
- 4 x 150g. salmon fillets (fresh or frozen)
For the marinade:
- Juice of 1 lime
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 inches ginger, minced
- 1/2 tsp wasabi paste (or 1/2 tsp chilli flakes)
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- Optional: green onions and/or sesame seeds for garnish
Method
If using frozen fillets, defrost in the refrigerator overnight, or submerge in cold water for one hour in the plastic pack.
Whisk together all of the marinade ingredients.
Marinate the salmon for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 218°C.
Line a baking tray with foil or parchment paper. Arrange each piece of salmon skin side down.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
Serve with your favourite vegetables or other side dish.
